Delete Your Account

We're sad to see you go, but we respect your choice.

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Open the Upkeep app on your device
  2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, below the Logout button
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Review the warnings and type DELETE to confirm

Account deletion is only available from within the app to ensure the request comes from the authenticated account owner.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you confirm account deletion, the following happens immediately:

  • Account deactivated — your account is marked for deletion and you are signed out of all devices.
  • Active challenges forfeited — you will be removed from all in-progress challenges. No refunds are issued for any paid challenge stakes.
  • Sessions revoked — all active login sessions and tokens are invalidated.

30-Day Grace Period

After you delete your account, your data is retained for 30 days in a deactivated state. During this period:

  • Your account is inaccessible — you cannot log in.
  • Your data is not visible to other users.
  • You can request account recovery by contacting support@upkeep.social before the 30 days elapse.

After 30 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers. There is no way to recover your account after this point.
